東京タクシーセンター Since the Tokyo Taxi Modernization Center (now the Tokyo Taxi Center) was established in 1969 to improve taxi service, we have been engaged in the following types of enterprises using money assessed from taxi operators.

Introducing the disabled discount

Since the fare reform of May 26, 1990, in addition to offering a discount to disabled people, we have been offering a discount of 10 percent off the amount shown on the meter to people with mental disabilities.

Offering fixed rate transportation to Narita Airport

Since August 2002, the special wards of Tokyo Prefecture, Musashino city and Mitaka city have been divided into four blocks, and we have operated using fixed fares for transportation to Narita Airport for each block for passengers who made advance reservations to improve convenience for customers with a lot of luggage.

Offering fixed rate transportation to Tokyo Disney Resort

Offering  fixed rate transportation to Haneda Airport

指差し外国語シート Since Oct.21, 2010, when use of the international terminal began, because a large increase in the number of international passengers was anticipated, we introduced a fixed fare system for trips between Haneda Airport and each area of Tokyo (the 23 wards, Musashino city , the five blocks of Mitaka city and the five blocks of Tama area) in an effort to offer service with easy-to-understand pricing. Furthermore, in each taxi we have English, Korean and Chinese point-and-communicate foreign-language sheets to help with smoother communication with non-Japanese customers.

Putting up Braille stickers

Since the fare reform of May 26, 1992, we have been putting up Braille stickers displaying the company name and car number in taxis in improve service for patients with limited vision.

Putting out cartop lights

Since the fare reform of May 26, 1992, to help general customers to better distinguish between vacant and occupied taxis, at night we have been putting out the cartop lights when a taxi is occupied.

Introduction of a long-distance discount system

At the time of the fare revision of March 18, 1995, we introduced a long-distance discount system to help customers who use taxis to travel long distances save money.

Establishment of  the Tokyo Special Needs Taxi Coordinated Dispatch Center

In October 2006, in cooperation with the National Welfare Transportation Service Association, we began operation of the Tokyo Special Needs Taxi Coordinated Dispatch Center. Drivers specializing in care transportation transport Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

Introduction of a smoke-free taxi system

禁煙タクシーOn Jan. 7, 2008, to prevent health damage related to smoking in taxis and increase comfort, we banned smoking in all company-operated taxis.
